ReFrame’s 2024 season will be its first hybrid festival ever! The 20th anniversary of ReFrame will offer four days of in-person programming at Market Hall and Showplace from January 25th to the 28th, followed by a full week of on-demand viewing from the comfort of home from January 29th to February 4th, 2024.

The in-person component of the festival will be hosted at Showplace Performance Centre and Market Hall Performing Arts Centre from Thursday, January 25th to Sunday, January 28th and will feature a curated film program, live performances, filmmaker question-and-answer sessions, panel discussions, media arts exhibits, and more.

Following the in-person component, ReFrame will move online with an on-demand virtual component from Monday, January 29th to Sunday, February 4th. As in previous years, films screening during the virtual component will be available to viewers across the country.  While the complete festival program will not be released until early January, ReFrame will announce in December some of the films screening at the festival.

To accommodate the in-person and virtual components of the festival, there are three festival pass options available: a $75 all-access in-person pass, a $35 all-access virtual pass (offering a reduced online selection of the same films screened during the in-person component), and a $90 all-access hybrid pass for both the in-person and virtual components of the festival.

Audiences from across Canada will be able to enjoy ReFrame, one of the best-kept secrets in Ontario's film festival circuit. ReFrame is dedicated to presenting the year's most important, thought-provoking, and inspiring documentary films rooted in social and environmental justice. The ReFrame Film Festival aims to build and support informed, thoughtful, and engaged community audiences for documentary film and art.

To achieve this goal, ReFrame holds a three-day film festival in Nogojiwanong / Peterborough, Ontario at the end of January each year. The festival attracts diverse audiences from across the province to view independent Canadian and international films, meet filmmakers and artists, and participate in educational opportunities intended to foster community engagement in the arts.

Founded in 2004, ReFrame is a widely celebrated event in the Nogojiwanong / Peterborough arts and culture community. With a focus on social justice, human rights, and environmental responsibility, ReFrame strives to foster meaningful connections between audiences, filmmakers and artists, community partners, and neighbours.
