Fandango – ZZ Top Tribute

Formed in the 1990’s by brothers Geoff and Chris Dahl, joined by drummer Perry Weido, Fandango was originally part of Legends Live, a rock and pop music theatre production that toured North America.  Now, trademark beards and sunglasses in place, Fandango is back on the circuit, bringing the timeless blues-rock music of “that little band from Texas” throughout North America.

Wednesday August 16th @ 8 p.m.

Big Wreck

Originally formed in Boston in 1982, the bank took the name Nig Wreck in 1994, releasing its debut album “In Loving Memory of” with six albums following that initial recording.  Original member Brian Doherty passed in 2019 but fellow band founder, singer and guitarist Ian Thornley, has made it his mission to keep Big Wreck very much relevant and on top of its game as a touring act – a goal that is being realized via a major 2023 tour of North America.

Thursday August 17th  @ 8 p.m. (This is the re-scheduled date)

Glass Tiger and Monowhales

Peterborough Musicfest is thrilled to announce that alt rock sensation Monowhales will open for iconic Canadian Rock Bank Glass Tiger.  Formed in 2017, Monowhales has earned its place as one of the most exciting bands in Canada, with multiple top 10 singles, millions of streams and countless shows to its credit.

Led by the incomparable Alan Frew, Glass Tiger – formed in 1981 and initially known as Tokyo Rose – exploded out of the gate with its debut album Thin Red Line in 1986 and never looked back.  Most recently, Glass Tiger released its fifth studio album, 33, in May 2019 and, in the fall of 2020, served up a Christmas-themed collection titled, “A Song for a Winter Night.”  Having last appeared at the Peterborough Musicfest in 2008, Glass Tiger returns to Del Crary Park with Frew joined by several original band mates.

Saturday August 19th @ 8 p.m.

Tim & Glory Boys with Special Guest Robyn Ottolini

A double dose of country music, explosive Canadian country/bluegrass band Tim & The Glory Boys with Uxbridge Native, Robin Ottolini opening.  Self-described as a “Canadian gang of backwoods hillbillies with world class facial hair and infectious on-stage energy,” two-time Juno Award-winning Tim & The Glory Boys have toured for a decade now, sharing the stage with top country, roots and gospel music acts.

Robyn Ottolini comes to Peterborough with more that 85 global streams of her music to her credit – a remarkable feat considering her music career first gained traction just three years ago.  Described as the Eminem of Country Music.  Regardless of whether it rhymes, whether it’s polite or is proper English, more fans of the genre are coming to the realization that if it needs saying, Ottolini is the one to say it.
