As the snow melts and longer days return, Kawartha Downs is gearing up for a vibrant season of spring events that bring together local makers, animal lovers, and families.   The Modern Spring Market returns to Kawartha Downs Events in Fraserville, Ontario which is a celebration of creativity, local goods, and the fresh energy of the new season.

This event brings together around 50 local artisans and small businesses.  Everything from crafts, home décor, jewelry, and polymer art to tasty treats and seasonal gifts.

Kawartha Downs Event Centre, 1382 County Road 28, Fraserville, ON

Date & Time: March 29, 2026 from 11 AM – 3 PM

The market is much more than a shopping event — it’s a community gathering, a chance to meet the makers behind the products, and to enjoy one of the first big local events each spring.

Alpaca Ontario Spring Show — Celebrate Alpaca Breeding & Fibre Arts

This is an Alpaca Canada sanctioned event where breeders display their animals in halter and walking fleece classes — judged competitions that recognize excellence in alpaca breeding and fleece quality. Alongside the competitions, the show typically includes: vendor booths, an alpaca photo booth, demonstrations, opportunities to talk with farmers, and a chance to learn about alpacas.

Kawartha Downs Event Centre, Fraserville, ON

Dates: April 11 & 12, 2026

Cost: Admission is free 

Participants: Exhibitors across Ontario and beyond compete with their alpacas in breed classes.

For animal lovers and fibre enthusiasts alike, the Alpaca Ontario Spring Show is a chance to:
