The 15th Annual Jolly Jog!

Help Kawartha Lakes Food Source fundraise in a fun and festive way, with the 15th Annual Lindsay Jolly Jog!

Mark your calendars and pull out your running shoes because the 15th Annual Jolly Jog is happening this year on Saturday, November 16th!  Not only is the Jolly Jog a fun kick off to the holidays, it is also a great way to give back to the community.

From 9:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Lindsay Collegiate and Vocational Institute

Located at 260 Kent Street West in Kawartha Lakes 

Help Kawartha Lakes Food Source achieve their goal of raising $10,000 for food security initiatives, at the 15th Annual Jolly Jog! This is a festive and family-friendly 'fun run' that encourages the community to participate in a 5km walk/run around Lindsay.

Registration is free but they encourage those who can make a donation of $20 per participant upon sign up and they strongly urge you to collect pledges in support of your run! Donations and pledges are so important; they make up nearly the entire amount raised each year, and they are hoping the 15th anniversary of this exciting fundraiser will be the best one yet! Donations of $20 and above are eligible to receive a charitable tax receipt.

On the day of the event, Jolly Jog registration will begin at 9:30am, and our fitness partners will lead a full warmup before the run starts at 10am. When Jolly Joggers complete the route, they can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with games, a chili lunch, hot chocolate, and, of course, photos with Santa! Best-Dressed Prizes will be given for Most Festive Individual, Group, and Pet at the event, and a special prize for Most Funds Raised will be awarded after November 16th!

Kawartha Lakes Food Source operates from a centralized distribution centre; they collect food from reclamation sources, food drives and donations; buy food in bulk; sort and store food; promote awareness of hunger and its impact; and coordinate fundraising.  They provide food to member organizations on a monthly “fair share” basis.
